The Institute of Physics at Graz University comprises three sections:

1. Geophysics, Astrophysics and Meteorology
   (main research topics atmospere and climate, solar physics and near space),
2. Experimental physics
   (magnetometry, surace physics, optics and photonics),
3. Theoretical physics
   (subatomic physics, solid state physics).

Diploma and doctoral studies are offered as well as physics lecturers for science students.
