The Institute for Particle Physics (IPP) is part of the Physics Department of ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich) and is used for research, teaching and studying physics. The groups focus on individual research lie in the field of particle and astroparticle physics. The Institute is involved, inter alia in the following experiments: CMS, H1, MAGIC, OPERA, T2K and ALEPH.
To search for antimatter and dark matter in space (AMS) are the mass spectrometry (Ion Beam Physics), experiments with low energy positrons, with the cosmic radiation (L3 + C) at CERN and experiments that the violation of conservation variables in muon and neutron (nTRV, nEDM) decays at PSI.
Members of the Institute are also active in teaching. For some courses, held at the Institute, there is more information on this page. The complete curriculum can be found in the course catalog of the ETH.
