The Physics Institute
and the Institute for Theoretical Physics are part of the
Faculty of Science
of the
Universität Zürich and carry out research and teaching in physics.
The individual research groups work on particle and astroparticle physics.
Groups from the institute participate in the following experiments:
LHC-b, CMS, H1, ArDM and DIRAC, and furthermore
in a number of smaller experiments at
PSI.
Moreover, a broad spectrum of research topics is covered in Elementary Particle Theory.
Members of the institute contribute to the
undergraduate and graduate teaching in physics. Further information on courses
