Research

The laboratory LPNHE http://www-lpnhep.in2p3.fr/spip.php?rubrique2 is a part of the IN2P3 http://www.in2p3.fr/ institute and is implied in several experimental programs in particle physics at CERN, TEVATRON and SLAC and at cosmic ray observatories in Argentina and Namibia.
Those programs cover most of the actual challenges and open question in particle physics, astroparticles and cosmology.

The laboratory is present in CDF, D0, ATLAS, LHCb, Babar and T2K (Japan) experiments on the problems of the origin of mass, matter anti-matter asymmetries and neutrino physics, as well as in the ILC project.
The group "cosmology and super-novae» has an active role in actual (SNLS, SNF) and future projects (SNAP, LSST, SKYMAPPER) on dark matter and dark energy content of the universe. The HESS group is involved in gamma ray studies and the AUGER group on high energy cosmic rays.
A theoretical physics group is also present in the laboratory.

The laboratory is a part of physics departments of Paris VI and Paris VII universities.
