The Department of Nuclear and Elementary Particle Physics belongs to the School of Physics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Research: Theoretical Particle Physics. Experimental Particle Physics. Theoretical Nuclear Physica. Experimental Nuclear Physics. Spectroscopy. Environmental  Radioactivity. Thermoluminescence.

The Experimental Particle Physics groups participate in the CERN experiments ATLAS/LHC and CAST. The Theroretical Particle Physics group deals mainly with phenomenological problems of the fundamental interactions and Cosmology.
