This "hands on" material on elementary particle physics was collected on behalf of the International Particle Physics Outreach Group (IPPOG) for the yearly International Masterclasses. Comprising much more than just the Masterclasses measurements, it is well suited for general reading and learning about how the universe is built up from the basic constituents of matter and the forces between them. The translations of the material into 17 languages was performed and organized by the Members of IPPOG. A Steering Group has been established for International Masterclasses. In addition, a Working Group "Video Conference" supports the organisation.
